Add a Property Key/Title to a Paragraph (New Workspace)

Add a property key/title to a content-only user-added paragraph to make the paragraph's subject easily identifiable and convert the paragraph to a product type property.

When you add a property title to a paragraph, multiple rules apply and Specpoint automatically makes adjustments to related contents.

For more information, see Modification of Element Contents.

To add a property title to a content-only paragraph:

  1. In the Elements panel of the new workspace, select an added family, section, or product type.
An added element displays in dark blue.
  2. On the new workspace editor, click one of the following tabs to select which part to edit:
    • Part 1 - General
    • Part 2 - Products
    • Part 3 - Execution
  3. In your selected part, locate the article that contains your desired paragraph and click to expand the article.
  4. Under the article, locate the content-only paragraph to which you want to add a property title and click its paragraph contents.
The content-only paragraph does not contain a property title.
  5. At the beginning of the paragraph, enter a unique property title.
A property title/key is typically one to four words followed by a colon (:). For example, Integral Ventilating System/Device: and Float Glass:.
Tip: To cancel an action, press ESC. You can use this command if you encounter an issue, such as an invalid or duplicate property title.
  6. To save your changes, press ENTER or click another area of the new workspace.
