Organization by UniFormat®
Work on your project in UniFormat to use an assembly-driven approach in adding project elements.
In this format, a hierarchical list of functional elements organizes MasterFormat components to help create an easy transition from describing design to construction specifications. Even as you develop your project through this approach, work results will be consolidated in the divisions view for later project phases.
In UniFormat or Assemblies view, the following elements in the following hierarchy are available:
- Assembly: Assembly Group
- Assembly: Subassembly Group
- Assembly: Subassembly Type
- Family
- Product Type
- Family
- Assembly: Subassembly Type
- Assembly: Subassembly Group
This format enables you to evaluate functional elements at a higher level, be more consistent with the organization of construction documents, and better coordinate with a project's graphics.
