Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Set a Family Version as Primary

As a member of the office master access group, set an office master family as primary to load your selected family's contents in new projects. The first imported duplicate family automatically becomes the primary version.

You can still change the primary family in the element library. Switching primary families only affects contents of future projects and not existing projects.

To set a family version as primary:

  1. Open the element library.
  2. In the element library, select an assembly or division to view its families.
  3. From the assembly's/division's families, select a family.
  4. From the Family Details pane, select the Primary button that corresponds to the family that you want to set as primary.
  5. In the Switching Primary dialog box, click Yes to confirm.
