Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Search for an Assembly or Division (Element Library)

As a member of the office master access group, search for an assembly or division in the Elements pane to quickly locate the element and view its families in the element library.

To search for an assembly or a division:

  1. Open the element library.
  2. On the action bar of the element library, click Assemblies or Divisions to activate your preferred view.
  3. In the Assembly view or Divisions view of the Elements pane, click .
  4. In the Search Assembly field, enter the element name and number of the assembly or division that you want find and press ENTER.
    You selected view displays the search results.
