Remove a Section

As an administrator or author, remove a section element from an active project to remove its contents and properties as well as its added child product types.

When you remove a section, multiple rules apply and Specpoint automatically makes adjustments to related project elements.

To remove a section from the active project:

  1. Open a project in the project workspace.
  2. In the project workspace, in the Categories pane, select a project category.
  3. In the Project Elements pane, filter the list of MasterFormat elements to use MasterFormat for your project.
    You can also search for a section.
  4. Select an added section.
    An added section displays in green.
  5. In the element header, click Remove from Project.
    Warning: This action is irreversible.
  6. Click Ok to confirm.
    In the Project Elements pane, the section displays in dark blue to indicate its removed and currently selected state. On the element form, the section's content items are no longer available for modification.
