Search for Project Elements

Search for project elements, such as families and product types, to quickly find content that you want to view in, add to, modify for, or remove from your project.

To search for one or multiple project elements:

1. Open a project in the project workspace.
2. In the project workspace, in the Categories pane, select a project category.
3. If the element search bar is not visible, click on the project workspace action bar.
4. In the search field on the element search bar, enter a term to search for in the project element numbers or project element names.
5. Select one or multiple project element types for which to search based on your currently selected format. Click any combination of the following available options to apply the search term to the respective element types:

   UniFormat	MasterFormat
   Assembly Family Product Type	Section Product Type

6. Click .
   The Project Elements pane displays the resulting project elements in their respective colors. This pane also displays the related project elements, such as parent assemblies or divisions, of an element in the search results in a dimmed color.
