Removal of Project Elements

Use this reference to learn about the multiple rules that apply and the changes that Specpoint makes to related project elements when you remove an element from your project.

All
  • You can remove only a project element that is currently in the project.
  • You permanently discard any modifications that you made to the element's performance requirements, articles, and/or paragraphs on its element form and to its project properties.
Assembly Specpoint removes all added assemblies, families, and/or product types that are directly under the removed assembly from the project if these assemblies, families, and/or product types do not have an association with another element that is currently in the project.
Family
  • Specpoint removes all added product types that are directly under the removed family from the project if these product types do not have an association with another element that is currently in the project.
  • Specpoint retains its parent assembly.
Product Type Specpoint retains its parent family.

  • You permanently discard any modifications that you made to the element's articles and/or paragraphs on its element form and to its project properties.
Division You cannot directly remove divisions from a project. The platform automatically removes a given division when you remove all sections and product types that are directly under the division.
Section
  • Specpoint removes all added product types that are directly under the removed section from the project if these product types do not have an association with another element that is currently in the project.
  • Specpoint retains the sections' parent division if the division has another added child section. Otherwise, the platform removes the division.
Product Type Specpoint retains its parent section.
