Export a Project Manual

As an administrator or author, export a project manual to file formats that you can view and share outside Specpoint.

Before you export a project, review the project's elements and element contents. Use the section preview to have a better sense of how your project contents will display in the project manual.

To export a project manual:

  1. Open a project in the project workspace.
Note: You can only export projects that have at least one family or section element.
  2. On the project dashboard menu, click Export.
  3. In the Export dialog box, in the Name Your Export field, enter the name for the exported project manual.
  4. Select the file format in which to export:
    • Portable Document Format (PDF)
    • Word Document (DOCX)
  5. To include notes to specifier in the exported section content, select the Include Notes to Specifier option. Otherwise, leave blank.
  6. To include bookmarks in the exported PDF and/or DOCX files, select the Include Bookmarks option. Otherwise, leave blank.
  7. To include track changes markups and tips, select the Show Track Changes option. Otherwise, leave blank.
  8. Click Export.
Depending on the amount of included content, the export process might take some time.
