Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Add to Project Dialog Box

Use the contents of this dialog box to determine the level of product data to include in your project during product selection.

Contents for MasterSpec-Verified Product Listings

When you add a MasterSpec-verified product listing into your project, the following options are available in this dialog box:

Option Description
Product Card Type This indicates the product card type of the product that you are adding.
Product Card Type Information This displays information about the product card type.

Click [More Info] to view the more information about the card type.

Manufacturer and Product To add both the manufacturer and the product listing to your project, click Add to Project on this level.

Selecting this option causes Specpoint to automatically add and select the manufacturer and the product listing under the manufacturer paragraph or BOD product paragraph.

For both manufacturer and product addition, the following additional options are available:
  • Include Properties
  • Include Manufacturer Options
Manufacturer Only To add only the manufacturer to your project, click Add to Project on this level.

Selecting this option causes Specpoint to automatically add and select the manufacturer under the manufacturer paragraph or BOD product paragraph.

For manufacturer only addition, the following additional options are available:
  • Include Properties
  • Include Manufacturer Options
Properties Only To add only the product's properties to your project, click Add to Project on this level.

Selecting this option causes Specpoint to automatically select the options in respective product type property paragraphs based on the product's properties. The platform also adds but not selects the manufacturer under the manufacturer paragraph or BOD product paragraph.

For properties only addition, the following additional option is available:
  • Include Manufacturer Options
Cancel Click this button to cancel adding the product listing.

Contents for General Distribution Product Listings

When you add a General Distribution product listing into your project, the following options are available in this dialog box:

Option Description
Product Card Type This indicates the product card type of the product that you are adding.
Product Card Type Information This displays information about the product card type.

Click [More Info] to view the more information about the card type.

Manufacturer Only To add the manufacturer to your project, click Add to Project on this level.

Selecting this option causes Specpoint to automatically select the manufacturer under the manufacturer paragraph or BOD product paragraph.

For manufacturer only addition, the following additional options are available:
  • Include Properties
  • Include Manufacturer Options
Properties Only To add only the product's properties to your project, click Add to Project on this level.

Additional Options

For applicable additions, the following additional options are available:

Option Description
Include Properties Select this option to include the product's MasterSpec properties into your project.

Selecting this option causes Specpoint to automatically select options in respective product type property paragraphs based on the product's properties.

Include Manufacturer Options Select this option to include custom manufacturer options and proprietary content into your project.

Selecting this option causes Specpoint to automatically add and select manufacturer options in respective product type property paragraphs based on the product's manufacturer options.

This option is available only if the product listing includes manufacturer options.
