Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Intelligent Product Selection

Specpoint's intelligent product selection feature aims to make the product and material research and selection process easier and quicker, allowing for more thoughtful design decisions.

To accomplish this, Specpoint leverages technology with the consistent structure and quality of the AIA MasterSpec.

The following list shows a high-level workflow for Specpoint's product selection:
  • Browse through an extensive collection of available product listings from various building product manufacturers (BPMs) and use filters to find product listings that are compatible to your project.
  • For each listing, view multiple layers of information such as product properties and standard documents to ensure correctness and project compatibility.
  • Add a product listing into your project specifications' as a recommended manufacturer, comparable product, or basis of design (BOD).
  • Add product listings and review added listings on the following levels:
    • Assembly/System
    • Family or Section
    • Product Type
  • Navigate from dependent or related assemblies or systems to explore product options for your project.
