Add a Property Title/Key to a Paragraph

Add a property title/key to a content-only user-added paragraph to make the paragraph's subject easily identifiable and convert the paragraph to a product type property.

When you add a property title to a paragraph, multiple rules apply and Specpoint automatically makes adjustments to related contents.

For more information, see Modification of Element Contents.

To add a property title to a content-only paragraph:

  1. In the Project Elements pane of the project workspace, select an added family, section, or product type.
An added eligible element displays in green.
  2. On the element form, click one of the following tabs:
    • General
    • Products
    • Execution
  3. On your selected tab, click an article to expand it and show the paragraphs that are under it.
  4. Locate the content-only paragraph to which you want to add a property title and click its paragraph contents.
The content-only paragraph does not contain a property title/key.
  5. At the beginning of the paragraph, enter a unique property title.
A property title/key is typically one to four words followed by a colon (:). For example, Integral Ventilating System/Device: and Float Glass:.
Tip: To cancel an action, press ESC. You can use this command if you encounter an issue, such as an invalid or duplicate property title.
  6. To save your changes, click a different area on the element form.
