Add an Assembly

As an administrator or author, add an assembly element to manage the contents and performance requirements of your project specifications.

When you add an assembly, multiple rules apply and Specpoint automatically makes adjustments to related project elements.

To add an assembly to the active project:

  1. Open a project in the project workspace.
  2. In the project workspace, in the Categories pane, select a project category.
  3. In the Project Elements pane, filter the list of UniFormat elements to use UniFormat for your project.
    You can also search for an assembly.
  4. Select an unadded assembly.
    An unadded assembly displays in black or gray.
  5. In the element header, click Add to Project.
    In the Project Elements pane, the assembly displays in green to indicate its active state in the project. For assembly groups, the assembly's performance requirements are now available for modification on the element form.
