Button

Description

Hide Navigation/Show Navigation

Click this button to hide or show the Navigation pane. When the Navigation menu displays, the name of this button is Hide Navigation. When the Navigation menu is hidden, the name of this button becomes Show Navigation. By default, the button name is Hide Navigation

Back

Click this button to return to the form shown prior to opening the current one. This button remains disabled if there are no available forms to which you can move back.

Forward

Click this button to go to the next form. You usually use this button when you used Back and then you want to move forward to the form that you were viewing prior to using Back. This option remains disabled if there is no available form to which you can proceed.

Help

Click this button to display the EPM SA Help menu options.

Logoff

Click to close EPM SA. Clicking this button closes the application and returns you to the Deltek EPM Security Administrator Login dialog box. You can either log on again or exit the application.

Plus and Minus Symbols

Either of the following symbols displays at the left edge of some of the items in the Navigation menu or each panel in the Dashboard pane, indicating whether or not you can expand an item:

• (+): This symbol indicates that an item is a parent that you can expand to see more detail. With the exception of the topmost item, selecting an item that is preceded by this symbol displays the corresponding form on the right pane. Click this symbol to expand the item.

• (-): This symbol indicates that an item is fully expanded. Selecting the item at this level displays the corresponding form. Click this symbol to collapse the item.

Pane

Description

Navigation Menu

This pane on the left displays four panels, each of which has items presented in a hierarchical format. Selecting an item displays the corresponding form on the right pane of the interface, replacing the default Dashboard pane.

• Products: This panel displays all EPM applications for which licenses and login sessions are managed by EPM SA.

• Security: This panel displays defined users, groups, roles, and objects that EPM SA handles.

• Reports: This panel contains the settings and tasks that you can do in relation to report items.

• Configuration: This panel allows you to configure system settings and import users.

Dashboard

This pane displays to the right of the Navigation menu by default. It displays several panels that contain quick navigation links to some of the tasks that you can perform in EPM SA. This pane also gives you an option to jump to a particular task or select an application from the Navigation menu on the left.

When you click an application, the corresponding form or dialog box displays to the right, replacing the Dashboard pane. For example, if you click Security » Users on the Navigation menu, the Users form displays on the right pane.

The Dashboard pane displays the following panels by default:

• Users: This panel displays the following links:

• Add a User

  Click this link if you want to create a new user. Clicking this link takes you to the General tab of the Users form.

• Edit User(s)

  Click this link if you want to edit a user. Clicking this link displays the User Search dialog box. Selecting the user(s) from the lookup dialog takes you to General tab of the Users form where you can modify available users.

• Groups: This panel displays the following links:

• Add a Group

  Click this link if you want to create a new group. Clicking this link takes you to the General tab of the Groups form.

• Edit Group(s)

  Click this link if you want to edit a group. Clicking this link displays the Group Search dialog box. Selecting the group(s) from the lookup dialog takes you to General tab of the Groups form where you can modify available groups.

• Roles: This panel displays the following links:

• Add a Role

  Click this link if you want to create a new role. Clicking this link takes you to the General tab of the Roles form.

• Edit Role(s)

  Click this link if you want to edit a role. Clicking this link displays the Roles dialog box. Selecting the role(s) from the lookup dialog takes you to General tab of the Roles form where you can modify available roles.
