Deltek EPM Security Administrator Login Dialog Box

Use the Deltek EPM Security Administrator Login dialog box to enter your login credentials to the EPM Security Administrator (EPM SA). Only the SYSADMIN user ID or users assigned to SYSADMIN group can log on to EPM SA.

Contents

User ID

Enter your own user ID unless you are the SYSADMIN. You can use a maximum of 20 alphanumeric and special characters, including spaces. Your default user ID is SYSADMIN. The first time you log on to EPM SA, you must use the default user ID. All subsequent logins default to the ID that the previous user entered to log on to the application successfully.

The user ID is not case-sensitive. EPM SA converts all characters that you enter to uppercase.

Password

The default password for SYSADMIN is password. The first time you log on to EPM SA, you must use the default password.

For other user IDs established in EPM SA, the default password is blank.

You must change the password as soon as possible to prevent unauthorized access to the Security Administrator. You can change your password on the Authentication tab on the Users form. Your password is not case-sensitive. Each character that you enter is replaced with an asterisk (*).

To change your password in Deltek PM Compass, click Settings ยป User Preferences, click the General tab, and then click the Change Password button. For more information, see Deltek PM Compass Help.

Database

Select a database from the drop-down list, which displays all databases configured in the Weblink utility. This field lists all available databases alphabetically.

For more information about Weblink, see EPM Security Weblink.

Windows Authentication

Select this option to enable Windows Authentication for an application. Selecting this option bypasses the EPM SA login, thus disabling the User ID and Password fields.

For more information about the Integrated Windows Authentication, see Set Up Integrated Windows Authentication.

Click this button to log on to EPM SA.

The application then searches the security tables on the active data source for the user ID and password that you enter. When a match is found, EPM SA launches. Otherwise, an error message displays.
