Log In to EPM Security Administrator

This procedure allows you to access and log on to the EPM Security Administrator (EPM SA).

Two or more users who are logged on to a shared server at the same time can each run EPM SA. Each individual logged-on user can only run one instance of the application.

To log in to EPM SA:

1. From the Deltek Applications group, click Deltek EPM Security Administrator. Take one of the following actions, depending on your PPM application:

• For Cobra, click Start » All Programs » Deltek Cobra <version> » Administration » Deltek EPM Security Administrator.

• For Open Plan, click Start » All Programs » Deltek Open Plan <version> » Security » Deltek EPM Security Administrator.

• For wInsight Analytics, click Start » All Programs » Deltek wInsight Analytics »  Deltek EPM Security Administrator.

• On the Deltek EPM Security Administrator Login dialog box, enter a valid user ID and password and select a database.

  When you upgraded the database using the PPM Encryption Conversion Utility tool and have not yet changed your password in another PPM product, you are prompted to change your password the first time you log on to EPM SA.

2. On the Deltek EPM Security Administrator Login dialog box, enter your User ID and Password.

The default user ID is SYSADMIN and the default password is PASSWORD. For security reasons, you must change the password as soon as possible.

3. Click OK.

If your login is not successful, despite providing the correct credentials, one of the following conditions occur:

• The Login Enabled option is not selected on the Authentication tab of the Users form. In this case, an error message displays, informing you that your account has been disabled.

• The Disabled User Account After Failed Login option is selected and your login attempts exceed the value defined in the Number of Failed Login Attempts Before Disabling User Account field on the System Settings form. In this case, the application disables your account automatically.

Both conditions, however, do not apply to the SYSADMIN user ID because SYSADMIN is considered the super power user of Deltek EPM Security Administrator.
