In the General area of the Configuration workspace, you can activate your Deltek CRM modules, define your organization structure (if you use organizations), and specify a variety of other configuration settings.

  • Set Up Your Organization Structure
    You have the option to associate employees, generic resource, projects, and opportunities with organizations. To do that, you first use the Organization Structure Setup dialog box to select the type of structure and other properties of the structure.
  • Add Organizations on the Organizations Tab
    If you configured Deltek CRM for a Fixed organization structure, add your organizations on the Organizations tab in the General area of the Configuration workspace.
  • Import Organizations from a .CSV File
    To import organizations into Deltek CRM from a .CSV (comma-separated values) file, click Organizations on the Imports tab in the Integrations & Imports area of the Configuration workspace.

    To specify the target range for utilization percentage, go to the Planning tab in the General area of the Configuration workspace.
  • Specify Working and Non-Working Days
    To specify your firm's normal working days, non-working days, and holidays, go to the Calendar tab in the General area of the Configuration workspace.
  • Specify Decimal Places for Hours
    To specify the number of decimal places you want in hours values that are displayed in the Resource Management workspace, go to the Planning tab in the General area of the Configuration workspace.
  • Turn On Soft and Hard Booking
    To turn on the option to designate resource assignments as "soft" (tentative) or "hard" (confirmed or approved), go to the Planning tab in the General area of the Configuration workspace.
