Specify Utilization Thresholds

To specify the target range for utilization percentage, go to the Planning tab in the General area of the Configuration workspace.

The Planning tab is only available if you activated the Resource Planning module.

To specify the target range for utilization percentage, complete the following steps:

1. In the Configuration workspace, click on the left edge of the Deltek CRM page to go to the General area.
2. Click the Planning tab.
3. In the first field under Utilization Thresholds, enter the lowest percentage of an employee's utilization target that is considered properly utilized.

   For example, enter 95 if employees must be at 95 percent of their target utilization or higher to be considered properly utilized. Employees with a utilization percentage below 95 percent of their target utilization percentage will be considered underutilized.

4. In the second field under Utilization Thresholds, enter the highest percentage of an employee's utilization target that is considered properly utilized.

   For example, enter 105 if employees must be at 105 percent of their target utilization or lower to be considered properly utilized. Employees with a utilization percentage above 105 percent of their target utilization percentage will be considered overutilized.
