Turn On Soft and Hard Booking
To turn on the option to designate resource assignments as "soft" (tentative) or "hard" (confirmed or approved), go to the Planning tab in the General area of the Configuration workspace.
The Planning tab is only available if you activated the Resource Planning module.
To turn on soft and hard booking, complete the following steps:

In the Configuration workspace, click
on the left edge of the
Deltek CRM page to go to the General area.
- Click the Planning tab.
- Select Soft and Hard Book Assignments.
Before users can hard book assignments, you must also click
to go to the Security area of the Configuration workspace and select
Can Hard Book for those security roles that are authorized to hard book assignments.
