Accounts Receivable Reports

Use accounts receivable reports to monitor and analyze information related to your AR invoices. The accounts receivable reports are available only if your enterprise uses Billing.

When the Billing Client Changes Over the Life of a Project

The following information applies for the AR Ledger, AR Aged, Invoice Register, and Invoice Transaction Detail reports when a project has had more than one billing client over the life of the project:

  • When you sort these AR reports by billing client, the reports sort the invoice and accounts receivable information based on the billing client that an invoice is posted with.

Example: A project has invoices posted to different clients over the life of the project—Client A and Client B. When you sort these reports by billing client, the project is listed under both Client A and Client B in the report, based on the invoice details for each billing client.

  • On the Options tab for these AR reports, when you specify a client in the Billing Client field, the report displays invoices posted for that billing client and not the current billing client entered on the Accounting tab of the Projects hub.

Multiple Currencies

If you use multiple currencies, the following applies:

  • You set report options on standard reports separately for each company. When you switch companies, the standard report options reset back to the default options. However, saved favorite reports, saved favorite options. and saved favorite selections remain the same, even when you switch companies.
  • Some reports are company-specific and only include details for a single company. For example, payroll reports are company-specific because they only allow you to view an employee's payroll information for one company at a time.
  • On those reports that are not company-specific, you can see details from multiple companies for the same employee. In this case, it is helpful to have a saved favorite with a top-level sort by company, so that each company's data is presented separately.
