• Open, Enter, and Submit a Timesheet: Step-By-Step
  •
  • If you are familiar with entering timesheets in the standard version of the Time module, then you should find the Mobile Timesheet process similar. However, there a some key differences:
  • Charge IDs scroll across the bottom of the screen.
  • Only one Day/Date column displays.
  • Depending on your Timesheet View setting, only three or six timesheet rows display.
  •
  • If you are not already familiar with navigating Deltek Mobile Time using your hand-held device, see Navigate Deltek Mobile Time. The procedure below assumes you know how to select menu options and navigate between rows and columns on the timesheet grid.
  •
  • To open your timesheet:
  • 1. Log on to Deltek Mobile Time.
  • If you have outstanding tasks, the Pending Tasks screen displays. You can open those tasks directly from Pending Tasks, or you can open your timesheet. If  no pending tasks exist, your current timesheet displays automatically.
  • 2. To select a different timesheet period than the one currently displayed, click Go To Timesheet on the menu.
  • See Timesheet Overview to learn more about the timesheet fields and layout.
  •
  • To enter your timesheet information:
  • 1. Scroll to the first blank line of the timesheet, and click Charge Favorites or Search Charge on the menu. (A charge appears in Charge Favorites only if you have previously added it as a favorite.)
  • For Search Charges, you must narrow your search by Project or Account (or Manufacturer Order for Costpoint users). The Filter Screen displays if the number of available charges exceeds the maximum allowed.
  • 2. From the Charge table, scroll to the charge you want to add, and click Select Charge on the menu.
  • The charge is added to your timesheet, or the Add Charge screen opens if Quick Add is not selected in User Options or if the charge is incomplete or invalid.
  • 3. If the Add Charge screen displays, use the UDT Lookups to select or modify charge information, and then click Update Timesheet on the menu.
  • After the timesheet is updated with the charge, the charge ID codes (for example, Project ID Account ID) scroll across the bottom of screen.
  • 4. To add more charges, repeat steps 1-3, or proceed to step 5 to begin entering hours.
  • Depending on your Timesheet View setting, only three or six timesheet rows are visible at once. Scroll vertically to bring other rows into view.
  • 5. To add hours to a charge, scroll to the appropriate Day/Date column (for example, Mon 02/01), and click Enter Hours on the menu.
  • The Enter Hours menu option is enabled in User Options. If it is not enabled, type the hours directly in the Day/Date column. The total number of hours entered for the current day display in the bottom row.
  • 6. If desired, click Comments on the menu to add a comment regarding the hours you entered. (From the Comments screen, click Save on the menu to save your comments and return to the timesheet. The hours appear underlined to indicate that a comment is associated with the charge.)
  • 7. From the Timesheet screen, click Save on the menu to save your entry. Unsaved hours appear in italics.
  • 8. Repeat steps 5-7 until you finish entering hours for the entire timesheet period.
  • 9. To sign and submit your timesheet, click Sign Timesheet on the menu. After validations are performed successfully, click Submit.
