Manufacturer Options

For a given product listing, manufacturer options are additional options and properties that are specific to a BPM. These options enable BPMs/manufacturers to accurately describe a product that specializes or innovates beyond MasterSpec's standard options.

Manufacturer options are available only for Premium MasterSpec listings and Premium listings. To add manufacturer options to your product listings, contact your customer support representative or reseller.

Manufacturer options are available in the following types:

Type	Description
Addition to MasterSpec Properties	Add manufacturer options to existing MasterSpec properties. This allows you expand upon existing standard properties for the product listing. For example: Manufacturer options display in blue.
New Manufacturer Property	Add manufacturer options to create a new product property for the product listing. This enables you to specify a new dimension or aspect for the product listing and highlight its specialized application in construction projects. For example:

Manufacturer Options in A/E Firm Projects

In Specpoint for A/E firms, each MasterSpec product property has a respective product type property paragraph that defines the property requirement within a given product type element in a firm's project specifications. When a design professional from an A/E firm adds a product listing with a manufacturer option to a project, the platform adds a corresponding manufacturer option paragraph. For example:
