Account Roles

Your account role defines what you can and cannot do within a ConceptShare account. In the Account Roles menu, you assign a user one account role, which controls the user's permissions. Depending on your permissions, you can create new roles to provide a high level of control over access to your ConceptShare account.

Default Account Roles

Account Role Description
Account Administrator
  • Controls all settings for the account
  • All settings toggled to YES
General User
  • Access determined by project role
  • No ability to change anything at the account level
  • All settings toggled to NO

Custom Account Roles

Depending on the structure of your organization, you may not need any account role customization. However, the ability to delegate specific responsibilities can help your team function more efficiently.
Account Role
Resource Manager
  • Responsible for adding new ConceptShare users and ensuring their roles are set correctly to give them the proper permissions
  • Responsible for ensuring that the accounts of users who left the organization are updated to restrict or remove permission to use ConceptShare
  • Typically has the User and Team permissions enabled
  • Responsible for creating, editing, or deleting project roles
IT Administrator
  • Ensures that security requirements are fulfilled
  • Sets up and manages integrations and Single Sign-On options
  • Has the permission to edit users and manage SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) settings, account callbacks, and account settings

Project Manager
  • Responsible for generating new projects
  • May help as a backup on projects for peers
  • Has the permission to add projects and see all projects
Process Manager
  • Ensures that ConceptShare aligns with other technology in the creative operations space
  • Ensures that the internal company naming and process align with the steps and phases in ConceptShare
  • Has the permission to customize phases, project roles, and branding; and setup templates, public Smart Folders, and custom forms
  • May create and maintain automated workflows, depending on the account

General User
  • Has the permission to add, edit, and delete private Smart Folders; manage own settings, and post to the activity feed
