Contents of the Document Information Dialog Box

Use these fields to edit the information for a document.

Field Description
Folder Enter or edit the folder that stores the documents. Access to documents is governed by group access rights on document folders. To view which groups have access to the document folder, as well as their respective access rights, click Who will have access?. The Groups section in the Folder dialog box displays all groups that have access to the folder and the documents within it.

To view all members of a group, click the group name. If you have the required permissions, you can click on the Groups header to add and remove groups.

Originating Organization Enter or edit the organization where the document originated. This might be your own organization or a third-party organization, such as a client or supplier.
Number Enter or edit the document number. This defaults to the title of the file, but you can modify it.
Revision Enter or edit the document revision number.
Title Enter or edit an optional, alternative title for the document.
Notes Enter or edit optional, supporting notes about the document, such as a brief description.
