As you use iAccess, you will perform some basic tasks that apply to more than one area of the workspace.

Each time you want to use iAccess, you must enter a valid user ID and password. - Log Out of

When you are through working in iAccess, you should log out. - Change Your Password
Use the Change Password dialog box to change your iAccess password or, if you currently do not have a password, to start using a password to log in to iAccess. - Replace a Forgotten Password
If you forget your password for logging in to iAccess, you can replace it with a new password from the login page. - Retrieve a Forgotten User ID
If you forget your user ID for logging in to iAccess, you can retrieve it from the login page. - Select a Record to View or Edit
Use the field immediately above the opportunity, company, or contact name to locate and select the record that you want to view or edit. - Use a Custom Search
If the standard saved searches for locating and selecting records are not satisfactory, you can create custom searches. When you create a custom search, you have the option to save it so you can use it in the future without having to specify the search parameters again. - Edit or Delete a Saved Custom Search
You can make changes to a saved custom search that you added, and you can delete custom searches that you no longer need. However, you cannot change or delete the iAccess standard searches. - Edit a Saved Custom Search and Save It As a New Search
You can create a new saved custom search by making changes to an existing saved search and saving it with a different search name. - Add or Change Opportunities,
Companies, and Contacts
Use the Add form for an area to add new records for that area. To enter additional information or change existing information for a record, display the record and make your changes directly on the tabs in that area. - Work with Grids
Much of the information for opportunities, companies, and contacts is entered and displayed in grids. For example, when you enter a new milestone for an opportunity, you add it to a grid that also contains all of the previously entered milestones. - Save Your Work
In some cases, you click a save icon or button to save your work, and in others, iAccess saves your work automatically. - Connect to GovWin IQ
If your firm has implemented integration of iAccess with GovWin IQ, use the My Settings dialog box to connect to GovWin IQ from iAccess. - Connect to Kona Business
If your firm has implemented integration of iAccess with Kona Business, use the My Settings dialog box to connect to Kona Business from iAccess. - Use Drop-Down Lists and Lookups to Enter Data
When you enter data in iAccess, you often can display a drop-down list or a lookup dialog box and select the value you want to enter in the field or grid column. - View Tooltips
In many cases, you can display tooltips, small text boxes that contain additional information, both for user interface objects (for example, buttons and toolbar icons) and for data (status indicators, data points on dashparts and charts, and so on). - Set Date and Number Formats
Use the My Settings dialog box to set the formats for dates and numeric fields. - Send a Link to a Record to Another User
You can send a link to a specific record in iAccess (an opportunity, for example) to a co-worker, and that person can use the link to go directly to that record. - Display Help Topics
Click on the iAccess toolbar or in a dialog box to access help topics. - Display
iAccess Version and Database Name
Click on the iAccess toolbar to display the iAccess version number, the database you are connected to, and the user ID you logged in with. Additional information provided includes the Kona Business URL and GovWin IQ URL, if applicable, and software licensing and copyright information. - Enable or Disable Usage Tracking
Use the Usage Tracking dialog box to enable usage tracking. When this option is enabled, iAccess high-level use statistics, such as the number of times that the application is launched and the number of sessions, are gathered and sent to Deltek. - Use
iAccess on a Tablet
When you access iAccess on a tablet, the appearance is much the same as on a laptop computer. However, primarily because of the absence of a mouse and the smaller screen size, how you interact with iAccess on a tablet differs somewhat from how you interact with it on a laptop.
