View Tooltips

In many cases, you can display tooltips, small text boxes that contain additional information, both for user interface objects (for example, buttons and toolbar icons) and for data (status indicators, data points on dashparts and charts, and so on).

To view tooltips, complete the following step:

Do one of the following:

• If displays near a set of fields or a chart, click that icon to display additional information about the data.
• If the value in a field is blue and underlined (that is, it displays as a link), click the value to display additional information about it.
• If a field label displays with a dotted underline, click the label to display additional information about the field.
• To display a description of most user interface objects, hover over the object. (If you are using a tablet or other mobile device, tap the object to display the tooltip.)
