About employee pay rates

You can set up pay rates for an employee to become effective immediately or at some time in the future. For example, you can enter an employee pay raise for a future date.

Ajera uses employee pay rates for:

  • Running payroll
  • Calculating cost amounts
  • Calculating billing rates based on markups
Note:

Employee pay rates are different from wage rate tables. You use wage rate tables to pay employees different rates based on the project they are working on, the type of work they are performing, or their employee type.
