Spell Check
The full-featured spell checker enables you to specify the dictionaries that you want to use.
You can use up to 32 dictionaries. If you have defined special terms in a dictionary, you can assign that dictionary to the Open Plan spell checker. Open Plan also enables you to assign many different language dictionaries so that you can check the spelling of words in other languages.
In addition to using the dictionary files shipped with Open Plan, you can also use a dictionary supplied with another application or even create one of your own. The dictionary can be stored in any of the following file types:
- TLS: This is the default dictionary type for the Open Plan spell checking feature.
- DIC: This is the default dictionary type used by many word processing programs such as Microsoft Word.
- TXT: This is the default dictionary of custom dictionaries and dictionaries containing acronyms.
- The Email Advisor
- The Notes tab of dialog boxes
In addition to highlighting unrecognized words, the Check Spelling dialog box also suggests words that you might want to use as replacements.
Two buttons that are located at the bottom of the dialog box provide access to customizable spell checker features:
- Options: Click this button to display the Check Spelling Options dialog box where you can specify the options that you want to use.
- Dictionaries: Click this button to display the Dictionaries dialog box where you can add new dictionaries and add or delete words from the current dictionary.
