Access Control Tab
The Access Control tab enables you to modify the project or file description and define the access rights that users who are members of a group with a specified role have to the project or file.
For each group that you want to provide with access rights to the resource file, view, or process, you must also specify a role. It is the combination of group and role that is given access to the object.
If you provide access rights to a group for a project, members of that group automatically inherit read rights to all resource files, calendar files, code files, and external subprojects assigned to that project. Note, however, that it is possible that after you change the ownership of a project to another user, you may not have rights to save the project. If this occurs, close the project without saving.
Provided that you are the owner or have SYSADMIN rights, you do not have to open a project or file to grant access rights to it on this tab.
