Risk Analysis Output Files
The results of an Open Plan risk analysis are potentially extensive, requiring some method to summarize this information for later use.
Open Plan organizes and stores the results of risk analysis in two output files: activity file and key activity file.
Activity File
Open Plan updates the activity file with the following statistical information about each activity:
- Mean and standard deviation of:
- Early start dates
- Late start dates
- Early finish dates
- Late finish dates
- Mean and standard deviation of:
- Total float
- Free float
- Criticality index
Key Activity File
A key activity is an activity designated by the user for which the program stores a record of the dates and floats for each simulation during risk analysis. This file allows for the production of very specific and detailed reports such as probability histograms depicting early dates for these activities.
