Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Edit an Existing Global Edit Definition

Use this procedure to edit a global edit definition.

To edit a global edit definition:

  1. Display a view of the project or resource file for which the global edit was defined.
  2. On the Tools tab, click Global Edits.
  3. In the Global Edits dialog box, select the global edit definition you want to edit.
  4. Click Edit to display the Global Edit Definition dialog box.
  5. Use the standard list of fields, functions, and operators to edit the expression
  6. In the Expression text box, do one of the following:
    • To save and apply the revised global edit and close the dialog box, click OK.
    • To apply the revised global edit without saving it, click Apply.
