Copy a Global Edit Definition

Use this procedure to create a global edit definition as a copy of another global edit.

To create a global edit definition as a copy of another global edit:

  1. Display a view of the project or resource file for which you want to copy a global edit definition.
  2. On the Tools tab, click Global Edits.
  3. In the Global Edits dialog box, select the global edit definition you want to copy.
  4. Click Copy.
  5. In the Global Edit Definition dialog box, enter a new name for the global edit definition that you are creating.
  6. Make any needed modifications to the global edit expression.
  7. Do one of the following:
    • To save and apply the new global edit and close the dialog box, click OK.
    • To apply the new global edit without saving it, click Apply.
