Creating a New Sort Criterion

Use this procedure to create a new sort criterion.

To create a new sort criterion:

  1. Take any of the following actions:
    • On the Tools tab, click Sorts.
    • On the Edit tab, click Manage from the Sorts tab.
  2. In the Sorts dialog box, click New to display the New Sort dialog box.
  3. In the Name field, enter a name for the new sort.
  4. From the Applies to Table list, select a table to which the sort will apply.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In the Sort Expression dialog box, enter the sort expression using the Field and Order columns.
  7. When you finish entering the sort expression, click OK.
