Oracle Primavera Integration
There are several tools to use for Oracle Primavera integration.
- Use Open Plan's import and export interface for integration with Primavera P6.
- Use the Oracle Primavera P6 Import Wizard to import Primavera P6 data into Open Plan from a P6 web or a P6 XER or XML file.
- Use the Oracle Primavera Export Wizard to export to a XER file or to a P6 web environment.
Note: Deltek
does not recommend importing into the same Open Plan project from both
Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, or from Primavera P6 Web and an XER/XML
file, as this may cause a conflict with the P6 unique ID field.
Primavera P6 Multi-Table View
Many P6 view layouts show WBS records with activities below them. This is not the default in Open Plan as Open Plan provides a native project hierarchy in addition to WBS/OBS and other codes. Open Plan provides a pre-configured P6WBSVW multi-table view to see the WBS-to-activity relationship that exists in the Primavera project. For steps, see Open a View and Assign a View to a Project.
External Subprojects
Open Plan supports external subprojects. Primavera P6 supports external relationships but does not embed the external project that the external relationship points to in the “main” project.
