Copy a User Defined Field

Use this procedure to copy a user-defined field.

To copy a user defined field:

  1. On the Tools tab, click User Fields.
  2. In the User Defined Fields dialog box, select the table containing the user defined field that you want to copy.
  3. Click Copy.
  4. In the Name field of the Copy User Defined Field dialog box, enter a name for the new user defined field.
    This step is mandatory as Open Plan does not permit two user defined fields in a table to have the same name.
  5. From the Data Type list, select a data type.
  6. In the Description field, enter a description for the new user defined field.
    This step is optional.
  7. Click OK.
