Use the fields and options to configure the Manage Job Categories screen.

Field Description
Job Category Code

Enter the job category code that represents a single job or a set of similar jobs.

Job Category Description

Enter the description of the job category.

Sort Value

Enter a number from 1 to 999 to specify the order in which the job categories will be printed on all applicable reports.

EEO Code

Enter, or click to select, the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) code to which this job category is assigned. The setting in this field depends on the EEO reporting form option on the Configure Affirmative Action Settings screen. For example, if the EEO Reporting Form is EEO-1 Report, only those EEO-1 number codes (listed on the Configure Affirmative Action Settings screen) are valid for entry in this field. You cannot link the same job category to more than one EEO code.
