Use this screen to specify a part number and other part attributes and to view current inventory, order, requisition reservation, and planning data for the selected parts and projects. If multiple revisions are available for a part, the inquiry can display this information for all of them. You can either click to select the parts you want to review, or you can enter information in the search criteria fields and select one of the options to show how you want selections to match. In the latter case, use to populate your table.
Enter, or click to select, a part ID. If you leave this field blank, Costpoint will not use part ID as a criterion for selecting inventory information to display.
Enter, or click to select, the desired revision for this part ID, or leave the field blank to view inventory information for all revisions of the selected parts.
From the drop-down list, select Make or Buy to restrict the selection to make parts or buy parts. If you leave this field blank, Costpoint does not select parts by make/buy code.
This column displays the default or inventory unit of measure for the selected part.
Enter, or click to select, the planner ID you want to view inventory information for. If you specify a planner in this field, Costpoint checks the value in the Planner Assignment group box on Configure Production Control Settings to determine how to select inventory rows.
If you assign planners by part, it includes inventory information for all parts assigned to the entered planner ID.
If you assign planners by commodity code, it includes inventory information for all parts that have commodity codes assigned to the entered planner ID.
If you assign planners by project, it includes inventory information for all projects assigned to the entered planner ID.
If you assign planners by netting group, it includes inventory information for all projects linked to the netting groups assigned to the entered planner ID.
To limit the inquiry to inventory for a single project, enter, or click to select, the project ID.
If you did not select the Exact Match option, you can enter a partial project number value and have Costpoint return inventory for all project IDs that meet the selection criteria value.
To limit the inquiry to a single netting group, enter, or click to select, the netting group ID. Netting groups are groups of inventory projects that will be planned together.
This check box appears if you clear the Separate Items By Company check box in the Corporate Settings block of the Configure Product Definition Settings screen. (If you select the Separate Items By Company check box, this check box is hidden.)
Select this check box to include inventory from other companies and projects in the inquiry's result set. When Costpoint searches lower levels for inventory, order, requisition, requirement, and part/project information, lower-level rows also display from other companies.
If you clear this check box, only those project IDs that are linked to your user ID and company display in the result set.
Select this check box if you do not want to view parts that currently have zero quantities for all inventory, on-hand, on-req, reserved, and owed. If you clear this check box, parts that have all zero quantities are not excluded from the query.
Select this option to find an exact match for the Part or Project text you entered.
Select this option to find all items that begin with the Part or Project text you entered.
Select this option to find all items that end with the Part or Project text you entered.
Select this option to find all items containing the Part or Project text you entered.
This table displays summary-level part information. To inquire at a more detailed level, select the line for which you want additional information and click the appropriate link at the bottom of the screen to open the subtask.
