Replace a Document

You can replace a document in the DMS with a different file. This method can be used to upload a new version, or to replace a file that was uploaded incorrectly.

You must be the owner of a document, or have the required permission.

To replace a document:

  1. Navigate to the Information Zone, or the Documents tab on an entity record.
  2. Search for the document.
    For information, see Searching for Documents.
  3. Click > Replace document.
  4. On the Replace Document window, click Choose File.
  5. Browse to and select the file that you want to replace the current version with, and then click Open.
  6. Optional: Enter a new title and version number, if required.
  7. Click Replace.
