Select Hue Dialog Box

The Display Settings dialog box has controls that allow you to change the background color of a control. You can select a gradient background color, which is only applicable to some controls, by selecting the Gradient option or a solid background color by selecting the Solid Color option.

Use the Select Hue dialog box to select the hue of a control’s gradient background.

Hue refers to the attribute of a color that allows it to be classified as yellow, blue, and red among others.

Color Palette

Click a hue on the color palette. A tool tip with the preview of the hue as well as its numeric value displays when you hover your mouse over the color palette. When you click the hue, the selected hue displays in the Current field.

Current

This field displays the hue that you click on the color palette. The displayed hue changes when you click another hue on the color palette or when the value of the Hue field changes.

Upon loading of PM Compass, the values of the Current and Previous fields are the same.

Previous

This field displays the hue that is actively in use.

Upon loading of PM Compass, the values of the Current and Previous fields are the same.

Hue

You can modify the hue by either entering manually its numeric value or clicking . The up button increases the value while the down button decreases it. You can select a value from 0 through 359.

OK

Click this button to apply the selected hue and close the dialog box.

Cancel

Click this button to close the dialog box without saving any changes to the Hue value.
