Links Tab of the Projects Form

The Links tab of the Projects form allows you to view, enter, or modify a list of links associated with projects in Deltek PM Compass. This tab is related to the Link Center form. All links that are associated with a project in Link Center also display on this tab when that project is in view, and vice versa.

You can use the FileExtensions.xml file to prevent users from uploading certain file types (for example, .bat, .ps1, .dll). For more information, see Denylist Folder.

Toolbar

All tabs of the Projects Form View share a common toolbar.

Links Grid

This grid displays all the links associated with the project. It displays two types of links:

Grid Toolbar

Option

Description

Links

Click the drop-down arrow to display the following options:

  • Print — Select this option to open the Print Preview form with the Links Tab grid's contents displayed.

  • Export to Excel — Select this option to open the Microsoft Excel application with the Link Tab grid's contents displayed.

New

Click this button to create a document link. Clicking this button displays the New Link dialog box.

Associate

Click this button to view available links and associate with one of the links with the selected project. Clicking this button displays the Link Search dialog box, which allows you to search for and select the link. You can select more than one link from the dialog box.

A link that is associated with the project is associated with that project only.

Remove

Click this button to remove the association of the link with the project.

Deleting a link’s association with the project removes that particular association only. The link stills exist in the Link Center unless the link is deleted in the Link Center form. Deleting the link in Link Center, however, also deletes the associated link on the Projects Link tab.
