Create a Project

Use this procedure to create a project in Deltek PM Compass. You may want to do this to gain approval for a project.

Any project that you add in PM Compass is considered a "PM Compass-only" project and does not display in Deltek Cobra. There are some projects set up in Cobra that do not display in PM Compass.

Projects that are set up in Cobra only become available in PM Compass after they are made visible on the Projects Visibility form.

To create a project:

  1. On the Navigation menu, click Projects ยป Projects.

  2. On the Projects List View toolbar, click New. This switches the form to Form View.

    Not all users can access the Projects Form View. Access to this and other screens is controlled in the EPM Security Administrator. If you do not have access to the view, you cannot see the New button used to add a new project.

  3. Enter or select the necessary information.

  4. On the form toolbar, click Save.

You can also rearrange the tabs and fields by clicking Form Designer on the form toolbar.
