Find Activities That Are Not Progressing According to Plan

Use the Schedule Analysis view to find activities that are not progressing as planned based on the activity dates.

You can also find activities that are not progressing as planned based on the activity dates in the Enter Schedule Progress form.

You can use the Advanced display of the Activity Search dialog box to create a filter that enables you to view activities that are behind schedule. For example, you can create a filter that displays only those activities whose Expected Finish dates are behind schedule. For more information, see Search Overview.

To find activities that are not progressing according to plan, complete the following steps:

  1. Display the Schedule Analysis view. How?

  2. On the Schedule Analysis view toolbar, click Hide Hierarchy.

Displaying the activities in a non-hierarchical view enables filters to return all activities that meet the search criteria.

  3. On the Schedule Analysis Form toolbar, click in the Search field.

  4. On the Activity Search dialog box, select Advanced in the Display Type field.

  5. Use the Search Criteria grid to create filters to display the activities that are not progressing according to plan.

  6. After creating a filter, the Activity Search dialog box displays the activities that meet the filter criteria. Select the activities that you want to display on the Schedule Analysis form and click Select. If you want to display all activities returned by the filter, click Select All.
