Invalidate Personal API Keys

Use the Login Settings pane to invalidate personal API keys.

You can only invalidate your own personal API keys, unless you are an administrator.

To invalidate personal API keys:

  1. Navigate to your Profile Drop-Down Menu > My Settings > Login Settings.
  2. Scroll to the Personal API Keys section of the My Settings / Login Settings pane, if needed.
  3. Use the drop-down list in the Personal API Keys section tool bar to select the status type of personal API key that you want to display: All, Active, Expired, or Invalidated.
The grid displays personal API keys of the selected status. Grid columns show the status, note text, days remaining until expiration or days since expiration, and expiration date.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To invalidate only one personal API key, select that API key in the list of keys in the grid and click the Invalidate Personal API Key icon in the Personal API Keys section grid toolbar.
    • To invalidate all personal API keys, click the Invalidate All Personal API Keys icon in the Personal API Keys section grid toolbar.
The Invalidate Personal API Key dialog box or the Invalidate All Personal API Keys dialog box asks you to confirm the invalidation and provides a Note field where you can enter additional information.
  5. Enter information in the Note field (optional) and click Yes.
The status of the personal API key or keys changes to Invalidated.
