Connect Microsoft Outlook to Your Vantagepoint Database for the First Time

After you install the Outlook add-in for Vantagepoint, enter information to connect Microsoft Outlook to your Vantagepoint database in the Vantagepoint Welcome pane in Outlook.

To connect Microsoft Outlook to your Vantagepoint database for the first time:

  1. In Outlook, open an email that has a recipient or a sender who is entered as a contact in the Contacts hub in Vantagepoint.
  2. Open the Vantagepoint Welcome pane:
    • In Outlook Web App, click the Vantagepoint icon in the email, and select Open Deltek.
    • In Outlook for Windows or Outlook for Mac, click Open Vantagepoint in the Deltek group on the Home tab of the ribbon.
  3. In the Welcome pane, enter the information to connect to your Vantagepoint database.
    • After you enter your Vantagepoint browser URL in the Deltek URL field, you must click the check mark beside the field.
    • If you use Internet Explorer, add the Vantagepoint URL to your trusted sites.
  4. Enter your Vantagepoint login credentials.
  5. Click the Connect button.
    After you successfully connect, the connection information is saved and used automatically every time you open Outlook. You can view or change this connection information on the Vantagepoint Account Information pane.
