Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Workspace Settings Window (New Workspace)

As an administrator or author, use the contents of this window to modify the settings for your project, project elements, and element contents.

In this window, the following options are available

Option Description
Element Tree Default View Select the default view for the element tree in the Elements panel. The following options are available:
  • Divisions: Use Divisions view/MasterFormat®.
  • Assemblies: Use Assemblies view/UniFormat®.

Units of Measure Select the units that the specification contents will use for measurements on the new workspace editor, preview, and output. The following options are available:
  • Imperial (Default)

    This is the default option.

  • Metric
  • Both
Family Number Format Select how the family number displays in the new workspace, preview, and output. The following options are available:
  • XXXXXX

    This is the default option.

  • XX XX XX
  • XX XXXX
Data Collection Select the Project Data Collection Opt-Out For This Project option to exclude the project's data from collection, analytics, and public display. For instance, selecting this option removes the project's data from the project research map. By default, this option is selected.
