Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Remove a Product Type

As an administrator or author, remove a product type element from an active project to remove its properties and stop using it as a basis for the project's product selection.

When you remove a product type, multiple rules apply and Specpoint automatically makes adjustments to related project elements.

To remove a product type from the active project:

  1. Open a project in the project workspace.
  2. In the project workspace, in the Categories pane, select a project category.
  3. In the Project Elements pane, filter the list of UniFormat or MasterFormat elements to use either format for your project.
    You can also search for a product type.
  4. Select an added product type.
    An added product type displays in green.
  5. In the element header, click Remove from Project.
    Warning: This action is irreversible.
  6. Click Ok to confirm.
    In the Project Elements pane, the product type displays in dark blue to indicate its removed and currently selected state. On the element form, the product type's content items are no longer available for modification.
