Remove a Family (Classic Workspace)

As an administrator or author, remove a family element from an active project to remove its contents and properties as well as its added child product types.

When you remove a family, multiple rules apply and Specpoint automatically makes adjustments to related project elements.

To remove a family from the active project:

  1. In the Project Elements pane of the classic workspace, select an added family.
    An added family displays in green.
  2. On the workspace toolbar, click Remove from Project.
    Warning: This action is irreversible.
  3. Click Ok to confirm.
    In the Project Elements pane, the family displays in dark blue to indicate its removed and currently selected state. On the element form, the family's content items are no longer available for modification.
