Add a Product Listing to a Project as a BOD

As an administrator or author, add a premium MasterSpec listing, premium proprietary listing, or premium listing to a project to use as a basis of design (BOD) for your specifications' assemblies, families, sections, and product types.

When you add a product listing to a project, Specpoint automatically makes adjustments to related content items within the project.

To add a product listing to a project as a basis of design:

  1. Open the Product Listings window for a project.
  2. In the Product Listings window, click the Products tab.
  3. Search for the premium MasterSpec listing or premium listing that you want to add.
    You can use filters to quickly find a product listing.

    You can add only product listings that the project does not currently include as a BOD product. These product listings do not display an added as BOD badge ().

  4. On the product listing card, hover over the photo and videos portion.
  5. Click .
  6. If the product listing includes manufacturer options:
    • To add only the product's MasterSpec properties, click Select under Add MasterSpec Options Only.
    • To add the product's MasterSpec properties and manufacturer options, click Select under Add MasterSpec and Manufacturer Options.
    After you add the product listing to the project, the product listing card displays an added as BOD badge ().
