Use the contents of this page to access your assigned projects.

Navigate to the following contents:

Empty State

The following options are available when your A/E firm has no projects or when you have no assigned projects:

Option Description
+ Add A Project This option is available only to authors and administrators.

Click this button to create your first project.

System Message This message is available only to contributors.

The following message displays:

"Please ask an Administrator or Author to add you to an existing project."

Recent Projects

This widget displays up to seven project cards of projects that you last viewed or modified.

All Projects

This widget displays all your assigned projects, of which you are the project creator or a project team member. You can view the projects in a grid view or in a table view.

The following options are available in this widget:

Option Description
Widget Name and Project Count This displays the following elements:
  • The All Projects label
  • The number of projects currently displayed against the total number of your assigned projects in the following format:

    <Projects currently displayed> of <Total number of projects>

Add New Project This option is available only to authors and administrators.

Click this button to display the New Project Details pane and create a new project.

Card Click this button to display all projects in this widget as project cards in a grid view.
Table Click this button to display all projects in this widget in a table view.
Filter Icon Click this button to display project filter fields.

All Projects - Grid View

In grid view ( Card), the following elements are available:

Element Description
Project Group This displays the name of the project group and the number of projects under each project group. Project groups organize the project cards by their designated project groups and sort projects by the dates when they were last modified.
Click a project group name to perform the following actions:
  • Collapse the group and hide all projects under the group.
  • Expand the group and display all projects under the group.
Project Card This card previews a project's name, image, and general information on a card.

Click a project card to open its respective project in the project workspace.

Project Filters

In grid view, the following filters are available when you click (filter icon):

Filter Description
Project Group Filter projects by the group in which the projects belong.
Project Name Filter projects by name.
Project# Filter projects by the number or code which identifies the project.
Clear Filters Click this button to remove all current filter selections and entries.

All Projects - Table View

In table view ( Table), this widget displays a list of projects in a table with columns that preview project information under their respective column headers and filters. The following columns are available:

Column Description
Project Group This displays the name of the project group and the number of projects under each project group. Project groups organize the projects by their designated project groups and sort projects by the dates when they were last modified. This column displays only project groups that have at least one project.
Click a project group name to perform the following actions:
  • Collapse the group and hide all projects under the group.
  • Expand the group and display all projects under the group.
Favorite This indicates whether you marked a project as your favorite. The following icons are available:
  • (Star Outline): This indicates that you did not mark the project as your favorite. Click this icon to mark the project as one of your favorites.
  • (Filled Star): This indicates that you marked the project as your favorite. Click this icon to remove the project from your favorites.
Project Name This is the project's name.

To filter projects by name, display filters and enter a project name in the filter field for this column.

Click a project name to open its respective project in the project workspace.

Project# This is the number or code which identifies the project.

To filter projects by project number, display filters and enter a project number in the filter field for this column.

Phase This indicates the architectural design phase in which the project currently is.

To filter projects by design phase, display filters and select phases in the filter field for this column.

LOS This indicates the level of specification (LOS) schema that the AIA developed and which authors use to determine and element's stages of development through the design and construction process.

To filter projects by LOS, display filters and select levels in the filter field for this column.

Owner This indicates the individual, organization, or authority that owns the project's building or facility.

To filter projects by owner, display filters and enter an owner's name in the filter field for this column.

Project Manager This is the project manager assigned to the project.

By default, this indicates the user whose discipline is Architectural and role is Project Manager. If no project manager is available, this displays the user who created the project.

To filter projects by project manager, display filters and enter a project manager's name in the filter field for this column.

Building Type This indicates the building's type or purpose for use.

See Building Type.

To filter projects by building typology, display filters and select building types in the filter field for this column.

Gross Building Area This indicates the project's gross floor area.

To filter projects by building area, display filters and enter an area in the filter field for this column.

Construction Budget This is the budget range for the project's construction.

See Construction Budget.

To filter projects by construction budget, display filters and select budget ranges in the filter field for this column.

State/Province This is the state or province where your project is located.

To filter projects by state or province, display filters and select states or provinces in the filter field for this column.

Country This is the country where your project is located.

To filter projects by country, display filters and select countries in the filter field for this column.

Last Updated This is the date when the project was last updated.

By default, this table sorts projects by the dates when the projects were last modified.

To filter projects by date last updated, display filters and enter a date in the filter field for this column in this format: mm/dd/yyyy.

Actions Submenu for Projects For a given project, click (actions submenu icon) to display the following menu options and perform the following actions:
  • View Details: Display the project details, parameters, and phase in the View Project Details pane.
  • Go to Dashboard: Open the project on the Project Overview page of the project dashboard.
  • Go to Workspace: Open the project on the Workspace page of the project dashboard.
  • Remove Project: This option is available only to administrators. Remove the project and all related data from Specpoint.

You can also click Clear Filters at the top of this column to remove all current filter selections and entries.

Actions Submenu for Project Groups These options are available only to administrators.
For a given project group, click (actions submenu icon) to display the following menu options and perform the following actions:
  • Edit: Edit the name of the project group.
  • Remove: This option is available only if you have multiple groups. Remove or delete the project group.

You can click each header to sort the list of projects by that column.
