Submit an Absence Request

You can enter and submit an absence request for time off from work from your contact record.

To submit an absence request:

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner to open your contact record.
  2. On your contact record, click the Absence tab.
    All absence requests for the current year display by default. You can use the toolbar to modify the date range, and to skip backward or forward between the years, if required.
  3. Click Add Absence.
  4. In the Create Absence Request dialog box, use the Category field to select the type of absence that you want to request, such as vacation or sick leave.
  5. In the Start Date and End Date fields, click to specify the start and end dates of your request.
    If you book absence using daily allowance, and your absence request is for a single or part day, use the Same day request slider to toggle it on, and then choose whether the absence is a full day, morning only, or afternoon only. Alternatively, if you book absence using hourly allowance, and you choose partial day, you must enter the number of hours that you want to request.
    Note: For same day requests, you do not need to specify an end date.
  6. Optional: In the Description field, enter any comments to support your request.
  7. Click Submit.
    The absence request is submitted for approval.
