Employees take paid or unpaid time off work for a variety of reasons, such as vacation, public holidays, illness, maternity and paternity leave, and training. Maintaining information on employee absences is an important aspect of human resource management and project planning within your organization.

Deltek PIM provides absence administrators with a flexible approach to manage absence and PTO accrual plans. You set up accrual rules that define who is entitled to paid leave for each absence type, and how much time can be taken. You also set up approval routes, and configure who gets notified at each step of the approval process.

As an employee, you submit and manage your absence requests through your contact record.
